excellent April 11, 2010 Ben (SW Michigan) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worried as this is a new product and not very many reviews. I plugged it in following the guide and it auto detected everything. No weird delays as other brands complain of. Very happy with this!

I don't know why you would buy the alternative. I ripped out my PAC SWI jack because it wouldn't work right. Connected the simple three wires on this unit, turned on the ignition, and the unit programmed itself in about 30 seconds. And it works great! I have all my buttons working on my Chevy truck steering wheel. When I had the PAC SWI Jack installed, it took the installer quite a while to program it, and then I lost two of my steering wheel buttons because he said it just wont work. Now I have everything and it only took me about ten minutes to install the whole thing. And I have never done this before. The website instructions were perfect and easy.
Works Great June 1, 2010 Mark (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I see people are finally adding reviews. When i bought this I took a chance with not a single review on the net and it was well worth it.
Installed on 2007 4_runner with resistance controls. Only has source, volume, and channel. Head unit is the Pioneer 3200BT.
- Auto programming worked perfectly.
- Instant control/button response (unlike reviews i have read about the PAC).
- Website was 100% correct on factory wiring down to the color codes.
I even reprogrammed using the manual mode. Took <5 minutes. I didnt like that auto-mode configured my track/pre-set button for seek mode. Beauty is that you have this option and its simple to program.
Highly recommend
Works BEAUTIFULLY! Auto detect is amazing! June 18, 2010 Daniel C. (Dallas, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I read that it worked pretty well, and was pleased to find it really does. I've not seen any problems with this, and it retains it's programming even when the vehicle battery dies and is disconnected.
I used this in my first stereo install, paired with a Pioneer DEH-P5200HD from another site, in my 1999 Honda Accord V6 EX with 3 button (1 wire) steering wheel controls.
Only needed to solder 3 wires with this device: Positive (accessory) power, negative (ground), and steering wheel wire, listed in wiring diagram available at [...] They provide great vehicle specific installation & wiring / troubleshooting guides on their site. Everything was auto-detected & required no reprogramming.
Volume up & down work just as well as they did with the factory stereo, the center button works as seek forward by default. I think this one depends on the receiver you pair it with. I'm considering reprogramming the center button to better suite my tastes, but it should be a breeze.
Check the website for your car, then buy this. It's definitely worth it. I've never tried the older PAC adapters, but from what I read, this is WAAAY better. I couldn't be happier with it.
Totally worth it.
Works Great July 1, 2010 Dee Pinkerton (Seattle, WA United States) I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder and a JVC KW-NT3HDT dash unit. Once connected properly, the Axxess ASWC auto-detected both the vehicle and the JVC quickly, working perfectly with no lag. The instructions off of the ASWC website were accurate, although it wasn't clear to me that I needed to connect it to one of the vehicle's auxillary plugs and not the ones that go into the dash unit. One call to their tech support got me on the right track. The other issue was me (!!!) having the 3.5mm plug connected to the wrong input on the dash unit. Once it all got sorted, the ASWC literally was up and running in about a minute. I love having my steering wheel controls. This is a great product!
